About Attack Simulator:
Truth be told, I don’t use it all the time. I bought it for Elite and never ended up using it for that. That said, I’ve only just gotten up the motivation to try it out for Star Citizen and it’s pretty awesome for repetitive commands that would otherwise require my moving my fingers from the WASD keys to other ones. This is very beneficial when I’m in the middle of a fight and want to, for example, change power from weapons to shields or shields to thrusters. Normally, this would mean moving my fingers off of my WASD key to the F5-F8 keys. When you’re flying around asteroids, trying to avoid further damage to your ship while three or four enemies are doing their best write your obituary, this can be very handy. I’ve also created voice commands for leaving my seat, extending and retracting my landing gear, turning on my lights, sending out a scan pulse, arming missiles, etc. Very handy! The setup is ridiculously easy, just write the name of the command and tell it what button to press when you say it and, for me at least, it works EVERY time. I would imagine those with an accent might have some issues, though the speech recognition software appears to be quite good at recognizing spoken commands. No need to pre-record your saying the command to get it recognized, just type it out, set the button (or macro) and save it. After that, it’ll work. All in all, it does what it says it does, it can be used with pretty much any software you want (all it does it press buttons or macros when you tell it to using phrases you yourself assign), and I’d say it’s definitely worth the asking price.
